Lilly-Washington War Memorial Main Gate.

Pedestrian entrance.

 VIEW OF THE COMMUNITY
The Lilly / Washington War Memorial Association is beginning a project to improve the entrance to the park.  The World War II Valiant 28 (those who make the ultimate sacrifice) will be honored on the gate section of the project.  A large portion of the entrance will be blacktopped along with a 36 foot section of painted concrete.
A new stainless steel gate will be constructed along with 3 brick piers.  The names of the Valiant 28 will be included on  the brick piers.  The original Lilly / Washington High School ticket booth will also be renovated. The goal is to have the project completed within the next couple of months (if not, the project will be completed in the  spring.)

Funding for the project is going well, but financial assistance is still needed. The Iron Gate Committee is presently selling chances on a Stained Glass Patriotic piece recently designed, created and donated by local artist Carrie Andraychak.
Donations are also welcome.  Donors giving to the project at a $1000 level will be recognized as Platinum donors; $500 as Gold donors; $250 Silver donors; $100 Bronze donors.

All donations of any amount are greatly appreciated (please provide contact information.)

Donations can be sent to:

First National Bank of Lilly, 500 Main Street, Lilly, PA 15938.  Please make checks payable to "The Iron Gate Fund".

The Lilly / Washington War Memorial Association thanks you for your support.
